Through four films from across the Arab world, a comparative gaze unfolds on youth at a moment of
rupture — between childhood and adulthood, between personal identity and a society that does not always grant it space. Set against shifting political and social landscapes, these films explore the coming-of-age experience.

rooted in a personal lineage, this project revisits a lost culture and language through music and cinema, an act of mourning and reconnection.

(linguistic note — the title “أربعة الفيلم” is intentionally written in a way that does not follow the standard rules of modern standard arabic.)
